David Wanner — 1970

In 1970, the late David Wanner founded Wanner Studios, an art, design, and sculpture studio born from modest beginnings in the basement of his home. As the studio evolved, it later operated out of his home garage, where David developed the business over nearly threedecades.

In 1997, David’s son, Jordan, joined him, and together they formed Wanner Sculpture Studio, LLC. Still working out of the garage, the father-son duo began developing a small foundry.

By 1999, their growing reputation and success prompted a move to a much larger industrial space in Milwaukee. With more room to work, the studio expanded its capabilities, adding dedicated metalworking and woodworking shops alongside the foundry.

David remained actively involved in the studio until his passing in the spring of 2017. Today, Jordan continues his father’s legacy—creating unique sculpture and custom baptismal fonts that reflect both tradition and timeless craftsmanship.
