In 1970, the late David M. Wanner founded an art, design and sculpture studio, Wanner Studios. It was run out of David's home basement and later his garage. Over the next 29 years, the studio patiently developed. In 1997, David's son Jordan joined him in business and together they formed Wanner Sculpture Studio, LLC. Still operating out of David's home garage studio, Jordan helped develop a small foundry including a used high school shop class melting furnace that would melt 49 pounds of bronze at a time. In 1999, Wanner Sculpture Studio moved to a much larger industrial building in Milwaukee. Their growing success allowed the business to expand the foundry, metalworking and woodworking shops. David worked until his passing in the spring of 2017.
